Allow me to present the wonderful wall hangings that were created at a class held at Heyde's Sewing Machine CO, in St. Louis, MO. "Mariah's Magic" is the name of this wall hanging, and it utilizes the techniques and designs from Jenny's book "Sharman's Vintage Garden".  We worked with templates for the multiple hoopings in the center of the project, did beautiful piped prairie points with decorative stitching to frame the center design, ribbon weaving and decoupage for the hearts in the four corners and we just had a GREAT time!!  The color choices are wonderful, one more beautiful than the other...these ladies surely did inspire me!  Please check my calendar page to see the schedule of locations, and hopefully you will be able sign up for an upcoming class!

Utilizing Jenny's wonderful embroidery decoupage technique makes embellishing your clothing easier than ever!  Jenny features this technique in several issues of Creative Expressions (Issue 16 page 33, issue 19 page 50).  The ladies at Satin Stitches in Columbia, MO had a great time personalizing their outfits using Floral Applique Magic...one design pack, so many different styles...from casual to business we had it all!
At Attic Treasures in Occaquan, VA we went a step further and took designs from Vintage Needlework (which are not applique's like those described in CE 16 and 19), and stitched them out on a layer of no show mesh and sheer nylon organza, used a heat tool instead of scissors to remove the excess stabilizer and organza and then stitched them to the garments!  What a great, yet easy way to have designer clothes!
